Chondrosarcoma

10-15% of primary bone tumours
50-60 years
Male:female = 1.5:1
Most are well-differentiated low-grade tumors

Dedifferentiated chondrosarcoma:
11% undergo high grade noncartilaginous sarcoma, known as dedifferentiation - median survival 5 to 18 months; 5-year survival rate 10.5% and 13%. Most transform into osteosarcoma, second most common is fibrosarcoma
