Most of the anteromedial mass of the elbow
Origin (2 heads):
Humeral head: Just proximal to medial epicondyle, larger
Ulnar (deep) head: medial margin of ulnar coronoid process
Insertion:
Mid 1/3rd of lateral radial shaft
Nerve supply:
Median nerve
Relations:
Median nerve passes between 2 heads
Ulnar artery is deep to both heads
Action:
Pronation
Variations:
Absent ulnar head
Additional slips frpm biceps, brachialis or supracondylar process of humerus
