Anatomy:
Pes anserinus is conjoined tendon of sartorius, semitendinosus and gracilis (goose webbed foot)
Bursa lies deep to pes anserinus
Clinical features:
Spontaneous pain and swelling in the anteromedial knee
Acute or chronic
Associated with RA, OA, obesity
Imaging:
Inflammed enlarged bursa
May be erosion of medial tibial margin, periosteal bone formation, subperiosteal gangion cysts
