Most commonly at mid third of LM
When occur in MM, usually in old age, in posterior horn
When located near posterior horn of LM associated with ACL tears
Less than 3 mm are usually asymptomatic, more than 5 mm are usually symptomatic
Sagittal: Increased signal in one or two peripheral section
