Attachments:
Medials side and medial roof of intercondylar notch of the medial femoral condyle
Posterior sloping aspect of the tibial plateau, between meniscal roots

Bands:
Anterolateral bundle (ALB): larger, stronger
Posteromedial bundle (PLB)

Meniscofemoral ligaments:
Anterior - Humprey
Posterior - Wrisberg

PCL recess:
Located posterior to PCL
Communicates with medial knee compartment

Intercruciate recess:
Between ACL and PCL
Communicates with either medial or lateral knee compartment

MR:
Best seen as single oblique sagittal image of the knee
Thick, bandlike structure
Low signal on all pulse sequences
